The taliban is a extremist lslamist group that emerged in the late 1990s in Afghanistan. the group gained control over most of the country by imposing a strict interpretation of lslamic law and carrying out brutal and oppressive policies.under taliban rule women were heavily restricted,education was limited and cultural and artistic expressions were banned.
