Niger crisis

Political developments ,Niger has been experiencing political instability and transitions in recent years,ln 2020 president lssoufou mahamadou stepped down after serving two terms and Mohamed Bazoum was elected as the new president in February 2021, political challenges such as security concerns and economic development continue to be prominent in the country .

Security challenges in Niger, Niger faces security challenges from various armed groups including Boko haram,isis and local jihadist groups. These groups have carried out attacks in the country, particularly in the diffa region and along the borders with Mali and Burkina Faso.the government has been working with regional and international partners to combat these threats
